PTO Scholarships
|
|
Two $750 General
College Scholarships are
available
to
former Arbor Park Middle School Graduates. These two scholarships
are named after our retired Superintendent and Assistant
Superintendent, Dr. James Upchurch and Patrick Ahern.
A third sholarship, the
JoEllen
Bolden Memorial Scholarship for $1,000, will be awarded to a former
APMS
student majoring in education. This scholarship was created to
honor
the memory of Mrs. JoEllen Bolden-Johnson who taught Language Arts,
Reading
and French at Arbor Park Middle School for 30 years. She was the
sponsor of the award winning yearbook and the sponsor of our National
Junior
Honor
Society.

Arbor Park Middle School
Alumni, graduating from
high
school this year are encouraged to apply. Application forms
will be
available
at the guidance office of Tinley Park and Oak Forest High Schools, and
the Arbor Park District Office, 17301 Central Avenue, Oak Forest, IL
60452 after March 1, 2007.

All Application deadlines - March 30, 2007

Winners
will be asked to be present at the Spring Band Concert at Arbor Park
Middle School on May 8, 2008 for the presentation of the scholarship
and to read their essay.
