students a creative outlet, working with the technology they use in
their daily lives in an educational setting for the benefit of their
fellow students, their school, and their community. |

WHAT
IS VIRTUAL YEARBOOK?
Too often, we miss the chance to really know what happens during a
typical day at school. In conversation, things are forgotten or the
message gets lost in translation. Virtual Yearbook is a school-wide
club that gives our students the opportunity to record video snippets
of activities, presentations, and events going on inside our classrooms
and the school at large. It provides, you, the parent, direct insight
into some of the intricacies and happenings of Scarlet Oak School. The
video shorts available for viewing and those that will be available in
the years to come highlight what it means to be a Scarlet Oak Cardinal!
Each teacher has fantastic things planned throughout the year and we
wanted to give classes the chance to record them and share them with
you. While you can expect to see classroom activity as you tour
Scarlet's Virtual Yearbook, we hope you will notice our memories extend
beyond the classroom as well. Our yearbook chronicles the overall
culture at Scarlet Oak School. Events like school assemblies and Pride
Club activities have made their way into our yearbook.
The students recorded the videos that appear on this page themselves,
and we think you will agree when we say they did a fantastic job! They
have proven time and again their dedication to excellence. Charged with
the creation of this virtual yearbook, they rose to the challenge and
exceeded expectation. The willingness and vigor with which they greeted
the opportunity is just another example of that dedication and the
pride they have in their school.
