  1. Get on the Band Wagon—Ancient Egypt is one of the most famous early civilizations.  Many stories have been written about it, both fiction and nonfiction.  During a class field trip to the public library, your team will select a book or resource on Ancient Egypt.  Each team member will share what they have learned.  The class must decide if the information shared was fiction or nonfiction.

  1. The Write Stuff—Did you know the Egyptians had one of the first written languages?  Hieroglyphic writing came about more than 5,000 years ago.  It is made up of three types of symbols.  Print the web page and write your name in hieroglyphics.  Share with classmates for decoding.
